Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Gi's

Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a martial art, combat sport, and a self defence system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting, with control and submissions being the goal. Brazilian jiu-jitsu was formed from Judo ground fighting fundamentals that were taught to Carlos Gracie by Master Mitsuyo Maeda. Brazilian jiu-jitsu eventually came to be its own art through the experimentations, practices, and adaptation from the Judo knowledge of Carlos and Helio Gracie, who then passed their knowledge onto their family.

BJJ promotes the idea that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger opponent by using leverage and technique, taking the fight to the ground and defeating your enemy through submission holds such as chokes and joint locks.

Jiu Jitsu practioners can compete in gi and no gi and competition.  A good Gi is essential for training Jiu Jitsu these extremely tough kimono’s have to survive being pulled and grabbed every training session and are therefore made of highly durable material.
